Patience is a virtue

Saw this video today and was blown away at the technicality and patience that went into making this video by All India Radio.  6 months of a painstaking process.  Coolest video I’ve seen in awhile.

Wow – very cool! So for the sequences with the multi-colored lights creating animals and blobs, are those done with long exposure (?) shots of people with light sources making the basic shapes which then get augmented by CGI?

According to the band, it is just the long exposure. Everything done “in camera” so I don’t know about the CGI. But I was wondering the same thing.

Those are some pretty intense little flashlights, then… The shadowy figures of the people making the blobs seem to support their assertion, but the blobs (and columns) are so well defined that it seems like there had to be some CGI in there – or at least some cleanup!
