A Sweet Upgrade/My wife is a spoiler
So we became eligible for an early phone upgrade and my wife decided it was time that I got a nice phone. If you have ever seen any of my phones, they have all been kind of the lower end, but functional ones. This is quite the jump. It is amazing! It’s the Blackberry Curve. Has an amazing camera on it too, which I know is a feature that people with other models of this great phone don’t have. It has been so much fun learning all of the features and especially typing on the QWERTY keyboard (so long T9 and your consistent use of a different word than what I want). I know that there is a lot of stuff you can get on this phone. I’ve found a few things, but I need all of you experienced BlackBerry users to help.
Here is what I’ve found and installed:
- Beyond411 – A great little app that provides free and convenient mobile search on your Blackberry. It’s cheaper, more effective, and more complete than calling 411. It also gives instant directions to the place you need. Really a must-have according to online BlackBerry users.
- Google apps (mail, calendar, picasa, etc…) – this is amazing by the way….
- TuneUsIn – free mp3 ringtones
So if you know of any great Blackberry apps or resources please let me know.

Laridian makes a Bible program for Blackberry, but it’s not especially good. Mobipocket I think makes the only good Blackberry e-book reader, although if you have a data plan you could just look at books on the internet (http://gutenberg.org) if you’re into that kind of thing.
